I had a chance to do my clinical practice in Turku for six weeks, three in the university hospital in paediatric unit and three other weeks in the geriatric rehabilitation, in other building. And I really liked to do it, I can learn how the unit works and their organisation who are different than my home country. It was not the same work rhythm, in paediatric unit they did not have too much care during the day, because there was not too much patient. One day we were five nurse and two students for four patients. Because the health care in Finland is not too expensive sometime the Swedish people come to be treated, and I could see how the unit managed this kind of situation. And I learn, in school the Finnish student learn Swedich and English, because there are lot of Swedish come in Finland for health.
In geriatric unit, it was totally different, there were more care during the day but after the midday meal, we had nothing to do, maybe gave the coffee but that is it. But I learn a lot there and I can compare my knowledge and the unit protocol, and the differences were very interesting. I saw also different manutention technic, and I think it was good idea that I can take back home, for my future.
My favourite clinical practice was with children, because in my future career I would like to work with children.
