The culture has different dimension and Geer Hofstede has developed a theory on the cultural dimension theory where he demonstrates the culture influence the value of the different people and this value influences the behaviour of the same people. Every culture has its own value and I am agreeing to this value influence on each behaviour. Every culture influence who you are and the person that you will become. It is depending also of your education and the place of your culture. In this theory few dimensions must be considered like: individualism-collectivism, power distance with hierarchy and masculinity-femininity (task orientation versus person-orientation). Every country has its own way to interpret this different way. For example, in Finland the distance between the students and the teacher is very different than my home country, you can call the teacher by his name while in Geneva you cannot do it, it is informal behaviours and it is not available.
Every interpretation is right because it depends of the country and the value. It's everyone's role to adapt to the new culture and to do better for understand it and to respect it. And I think if I choose to go abroad it is for learn another culture and know how adapt mine culture and make a mix with everything, but not without loose mine culture but in the transformant it.
